Argentinian National Service for Agrifood Health and Quality (SENASA)
Yamile Barca is a Molecular Biologist working within the General Coordination of Biotechnology at Argentina’s National Agrifood Health and Quality Service (SENASA). With over a decade of experience in biotechnology regulation, she conducts food and feed safety assessments of genetically modified organisms and their derived products. Her work includes regulatory evaluation, certification of GMO shipments for international trade, and the design and implementation of control systems for GMOs in import and export operations, as well as participation in technical risk assessment groups. She is actively involved in regulatory harmonization initiatives, promoting science-based approaches aligned with international standards.
